We heard you! Vacation month calls for winding the tempo down and putting your feet up, so for one July evening only, MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre turns into the biggest chill out room in town. Sound baths poured by leading international specialists.
Melmann
Since the late 2000s Barcelona-based Argentinian sound artist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Nicolás Melmann has toured the world extensively with his Melmann project, creating hypnotic, abstract collages of melody and experimentation using electronics, unconventional instruments, objects, field recordings, and spoken word.
Melmann’s music, both live and recorded, explores the social and poetic aspects of sound, sculpting an elegant form of lively ambient and immersive electronic soundscapes out of tactile acoustic instrumentation.

Hahmo
Arttu Snellman’s Hahmo alias was born after relocating to New Zealand, leaving behind Berlin, Germany where he had produced his own inimitable brand of house music for several years under first name Arttu, released on high profile labels Clone and Chiwax as well as his own Cyblo Records.
The unbeatable sense of rhythm and structure that made Snellman’s earlier work stand out is still very present in the experimental electronics of Hahmo’s first album Passages – recently out on Matthew Herbert’s Accidental Records – but the elements he so masterfully controls are now of a far more free-form and liquid nature.
For this exclusive, improvised live set Snellman is accompanied by Tomas De Rita AKA Feedbackbackback, also responsible for the videos made for Hahmo’s album tracks. Due to his fearlessly live and fully analog techniques De Rita has often been praised/accused of making veejaying experimental again.
